Slot flap (APA-SK)
A special form of the proven circular backwater flap is the slotted flap.
It was specially developed for use in rainwater and basin overflows and serves as backwater protection in the event of flooding. Numerous overflow thresholds in combined sewer systems are at risk of flooding.
If the receiving water rises above their level, river water enters the rain basin or the sewer system, which leads to overloading of the sewer network and thus of the sewage treatment plant.
The slotted flap has the same functional and maintenance-free advantages as the backwater flap. It is doweled to the flat wall and is also suitable for retrofitting. Flaps up to 6000 - 1000 mm (B&H) are available. For longer sleeper lengths, several flaps are arranged next to each other.
