The proven solution for retaining floating substances
Baffle wall (APA-TW)
The proven solution for floatable material retention.
In rain basins without an immersion wall, the uppermost thin layer of water flows to the outlet at a speed that is multiple times the flow velocity in the basin.
If an immersion wall is present, there is usually almost no flow both at the surface and up to a depth corresponding to the immersion depth of the immersion wall. Therefore, the immersion wall should only extend into the water as deep as absolutely necessary to prevent floating materials from passing under the immersion wall into the outlet.
In general, an immersion depth of 20 cm is sufficient. The distance to the overflow edge should be at least 30 cm. The material thickness of the immersion wall for the stainless steel version should be chosen at 5 mm dimensions.
